1) I meant title not excerpt, sorry. Basically, would it be easier to modify the slider code on the old version to show some sort of text overlay, or to modify the menu structure on the new version?

1a. I see the title for the slide showing up on your new site. Excerpts are not supported, so that would require a customization to achieve. You can submit a request for that here: http://themolitor.com/custom.

1b. Regarding the menu, anything beyond what is available in the current version would require a customziation. You can submit a request for that here: http://themolitor.com/custom.

2. Open responsive.css and add the following below /*SIDEBAR*/...

#leftSidebar,
#rightSidebar {display: none !important;}

1) The biggest issue with our current site is that there's no text on the slider. Would it be easier to add excerpt text to the slider in the old theme, or modify the menu system in the new theme? I like what you've done with the new menus, but we really need the full width of the site for our menu and enjoy having it separate from the header. My guess is it'd be easier to just modify the slider code to add the excerpt, but wanted to check with you before I start modifying haphazardly.

2) Is there a way to disable widgets if someone's viewing the responsive version of the site?
