Hi there,

A lot of users use a caching plugin, for example, that helps speed up loading times. Something like that would make sense.

Thanks!

Hi again,

when you say caching issue, what exactly do you mean?
I reset the two browser safari and firefox. Is there something else I should reset before reinstalling the entire wordpress application?

Hi there,

This is definitely a caching issue then because I see the same version of the theme I saw before. I don't see a default setup of the theme.

Unfortunately I can't provide help here as the theme doesn't have any caching features that would cause this issue.

I can only recommend you review your WordPress install, plugins, etc.

Best,

Chris

Hi chris,

I have just re-installed the theme and changed nothing.

Of course the posts, pages, menus, categories and images I had created/uploaded, are still on the site, but htis should not interfere. No new plugins or widgets are installed/activated wither.

Once again, whilst I am logged in and preview the page, the slider works fine and dispalys the images. The second I log out, it stops working and only shows as if it is loading the images.

Thanks,

Nino

Hi there,

When I made the video, the theme required the OptionTree plugin to be installed by the user. Since then, I've updated the theme so the plugin is built into the theme, removing the need to install the plugin. The theme options are now accessible from "appearance" > "theme options" as mentioned in the help file.

I visited your site again and see the same version of the theme I saw before, so unfortunately I'm still unable to troubleshoot this issue with you as I don't see a default installation of the theme.

Let me know when you have the default setup of the theme live on your domain and I'll take a look to see if anything looks off.

Thanks!

Chris

Hi again Chris,

After a few days I am getting back at you for your support cause I cannot seem to get this working.

I fully understood your situation and that's why I decided to unisntall and reinstall the theme several times, but this gave no solution to my problem.

I therefore went ahead and uninstalled the entire Wordpress application from my server and re-installed it. This of course implies that I have lost all the work I had done on the page, but nevermind, it not to big of a deal.

I then installed the theme again. Note that at this time I installed the zip file directly from the wordpress backend. But this also has not solved the problem.

So, I uninstalled the theme again, and following the instruccion in your help file, I installed it, by uploading the unzipped "wpaid" folder to the themes directory of my blog, located within the wp-content directory. This has also not solved the problem.

Now, in reviewing your video tutorial, I notice that (in minute 3,54) when you log in the backend, in the left column menu, you have an optiontree menu. And this might be the issue here, because in all the installations I made so far, this optiontree menu never appeared in my backend menu. Not once, either I install the theme directly from a zip or whther I unzipped and installed it by ftp. Note that in the wp-content directory/wp aid the option three folder is present.

If your recall in my previous message I mentioned that at one point I had installed the option tree plugin (which I later uninstalled). This was because having seeing it in the tutorial video but not in my installation, I thought I had to install it myself. You made clear to me in the previous message that this was not necessary and the plugin is infact included, so I am kind of puzzled now...

Now, I have made no edits to the theme at all, but the problem persists.

What should I do? Any ideas?

Thanks a lot and sorry for such a long message.

Nino

Hi there,

The latest version of the theme has OptionTree built-in, so it will cause database issues if you install the plugin. If you're using the latest version of the theme, you'll need to use PhpMyAdmin to remove the optionTree tables from your database.

Additionally, I see you've made significant edits to the theme. Unfortunately I'm unable to troubleshoot themes that have been heavily modified as it's impossible for me to know everything that you edited/changed/removed/etc and to be able to check against that.

You'll need to either retrace your edits and/or revert to a default setup of the theme in order for me to troubleshoot the issue (if it still exists).

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

Chris

Hi again Chris,
My page is http://www.puchica.org

unfortunately the slider is still not loading the images.

I have cleared the cache on both firefox and safari but I am getting not getting any luck.

I have tried to open the page on my gf's computer, but they are not showing either...

I am using only two plugins at the moment. "OptionThree" and "Contact form 7 vs 3.3.3"
I don't know if that has something to do.

Thanks again for the support,

Nino

Hi there,

Sounds like a caching issue. Make sure you clear the cache for any plugins (if applicable) and/or clear the cache for your browser.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks!

Chris
