Derrick - no there is not. At that point you're talking about modifying the Slider Code pretty heavily (http://themolitor.com/custom). I'm sorry it's not something you like - I know many users are extremely fond of the way that slider works.

Good luck with your site.

Ok. Good to know that all is well with the coding.

Is there a shortcut to change it so that it just continues to slide one direction without the slide back to the first?

Thanks, Justin!

Derrick,

I am extremely sorry for the confusion. I saw your first Comment about Politico - and that's the Theme I started working off on my install. My apologies.

For Aid - there is nothing wrong with your Slider - this is how the slider is meant to act! It's a Paralax effect that allows your background to shift with the slider, and then when it hits the end, it slides all the way back to one. It's meant to be a cool transition, not a problem!

Hope that helps clarify.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin,

Sorry, I think there's some confusion. The problem isn't with the slider on Politico. It's with the slider on Aid, which only has one (as opposed to Politico which has Nivo and dual). There aren't any options in the option tree for the Aid slider beyond category, number of items to show and speed of rotation.

Derrick,

Gotcha, have you tried changing the slide transition yet? You can do that from Appearance > Theme Options > Slider > Nivo Transition Effect

Let me know if that fixes the concern you have.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin,

When I view the preview on ThemeForest using Safari, your demo, with 5 slides, does the same thing. It scrolls left through all five, and then scrolls really quick to the right back to the first slide. I can't really grab a screen image of it doing it because you can't really tell it's doing it. I'm not sure it's a browser issue as I've had various board members look at it on various browsers in various points of longitude and latitude, and it's acting the same way for them. Any other thoughts?

-Derrick

Interesting... and yes IE is obnoxious :)

What about when you view the demo? Is the same issue occurring? If you can, please send over a screencap.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi there. I'm using the most updated version of Safari on my home machine; I have the most current (and annoying) version of Internet Explorer at my office; it also did it it with IE8.

Hey there, what browser are you viewing the site in? It looks fine to me, which leads me to believe you're using an older browser.

Let me know...

I've downloaded both Politico and the Aid theme and use both for different sites. I love both. But I have an issue with the slider on the Aid theme.

On Politico (www.tonydelgiorno.com) the slider moves everything off screen to the left and it keeps doing it in a continuous scroll.

On Aid (www.uafoundation.us) the slider moves the items off screen to the left, but when it hits the last item, instead of continuing to scroll to the left, it scrolls to the right, very quickly, back through the the previous images until it gets to the first image and starts the cycle back over. It looks REALLY sloppy and when you only have 3 images, it happens A LOT. When I had only 2, it looked like a tennis match - back and forth and back and forth.

I've looked at the code to see what I could figured out, but I'm not a code master, so I'm not sure if I'm just missing something.

It would be helpful if there's a simple code fix that would continue the scroll to the left continuously (a la Politico) without having to do any major customization. Help!
