Ah, I see the issue. The theme is pulling 10 posts for the slider, but it's hiding any that have expired. I set the slider settings to display "13" posts, and this is now pulling the extra items.

Hi Chris,

We've had a couple of new accounts submit events, and two of the previously submitted events (that are later chronologically) have dropped off the featured bar. The later BENT night, and the Boat Cruise are both tagged Featured. Deselecting, updating, selecting and updating again do not re-add them. The theme is set to display 10 posts. Any ideas?

I'm not seeing any issues. The slider currently has 8 items and the slider category is also showing 8 items. Reference: http://outin.ca/category/featured-event/

It is currently "Featured". Today I deleted "Feature" and reassigned upcoming events to it. "Feature" which came after "slider", "Feature" and "Featured" (the first category).

No, they are future events. The error seems to occur when when a new event is submitted, and I add the slider category (and others) when I publish it. The events it impacts seem to be random. Somewhere over 50% of upcoming slider events, not sure if the newly published event is included in that, sorry.

This has happened about five times now. The slider category works fine for a few weeks, and then suddenly only some of the posts marked with the slider category show up. I can't figure out what is causing it, there doesn't seem to be a pattern other than I am assigning posts the slider category when it happens.

I can fix the problem temporarily by creating a new slider category (ie "Feature"), deleting the old slider category ("Featured"), and switching the posts to the new category. It works fine for a few weeks, but a permanent solution would be ideal.

The theme is being used at http://www.outin.ca, if that is relevant.
