Chris,

I went through all the pages one by one to compare with your php files. It turned out that I had accidentally inserted the "dualslider.php" code into the place of the "comments.php" file. So this was totally my fault.

Ultimately, you set me on the right track to fix the problem. Thanks a lot!
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Try removing your edits/customizations just to make sure those aren't the cause of the problem and let us know if that changes anything.

Thanks!

Thank you both for getting back to me.

Chris, the only changes I have made to the template files was to add the code from the Facebook social plugin so that I could add it as a widget to the right sidebar.

To header.php, I added:
<div id="fb-root"></div>
<script>(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1&appId=******";
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script>

Note: I *'d out the actual appId, just in case it's something one is not supposed to share.

Then I just made a text widget to throw in the sidebar.

Thanks for the tip on the footer menu. Fixing this was on my to do list, but I didn't realize it was as easy as just making a footer menu. Alas, it did not solve the slider issue.

By the way, not sure if this helps, but notice that the slider on the main page is a nivo slider (which is the setting I have selected), but the slider showing up everywhere else is dual. I have checked, and I currently only have the two slider posts showing up as the sample images in both places.

Thanks for looking into this for me,
Patrick

Hi there,

Have you made any customizations to the actual template files?

Also, I see you haven't created a menu for the footer. Be sure to do that on the "menus" page and see if that fixes the issue.

Thanks!

Chris

Not sure how I made this happen, but the slider is showing up in all my pages instead of just the front page where I want it. The site is http://www.matthewhodges.org

I found this post here in the forums: http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/how-to-keep-the-home-slider-on-every-page-not-just-the-front-page#post-5245

This guy was desiring the opposite, but I did verify that header.php still contains this code:
<?php if(is_front_page()){ get_template_part('slider'); } else { get_template_part('menu');}?>

Please help me out. I'm trying to get this site complete as quickly as possible so that we can advertise it before the elections coming up in less than four weeks!

Thanks!
