Hi there,

The theme only makes sure the width doesn't extend beyond the bounds of the space available. Once the image is contained horizontally, the height is proportionately adjusted to maintain the aspect ratio of the original image.

For example, let's say you have an image that is 1000X3000. If the horizontal space doesn't allow anything beyond 500px, the image will be resized to 500x1500 to fit that space and maintain the proportions of the original.

That's what height:auto does.

If you're having trouble, I recommend editing your images offline to around 900px × 350px and upload them again.

Best,

Chris

Hi,

I already tried that. Even if I redefine the picture offline and upload it, I always get this issue...
On firebug, the size is defined by this code on style.css:

body.single .attachment-post {
border-bottom: 5px solid #000000;
display: block;
height: auto;
margin: 0 0 45px;
width: 100%;
}

The height auto is the problem, I would like the real height of the picture.

Thanks.

Hi there,

If you make changes to images, you'll need to use the "Regenerate Thumbnails" plugin to reload all the images: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

If that doesn't work, you'll need to edit the image offline and then upload it and assign it as the featured image for the post.

Best,

Chris
