Thanks, that removed the screen. This helps the appearance a lot on my Android by the way.

What about image size? My main image would look OK I think, but probably 1/3 to 1/2 of it is off the screen, and what remains onscreen has been blown up enough to be pixelated.

How do I get the background image to fit the screen (at least by either height or width)?

Best,

Moses

Hi Moses,

This theme has a pattern applied to the background image. There are 2 main reasons for this...

1. It helps "sharpen" images that aren't very large, which helps to reduce loading times.

2. It darkens the image so that it isn't too distracting from the main content of the site (the background image is intended to be a subtle design element).

If you want to get rid of this pattern, simply add the following to your custom CSS section...

#mesh {display:none !important;}

Hope that helps!

Chris

I also notice that when I view the webpage at the perfect size to eliminate the pixelation, the background picture becomes darker. Maybe the pixels are still there, just at a resolution that prevents me from seeing them individuated.

Actually I have finally realized that the pixelation (but not the size of the background image) is related to how I have sized the web page (accomplished by pressing cmd+ or cmd- on my mac). It is only when I have made the theme very very small on my screen that the pixels finally disappear from the background picture, however.

Actually the black pixels are in a grid on Firefox and evenly spaced on Chrome and Safari.

Chris,

The background images on my site are:

1. Displayed very large, so that the screen effectively crops much of the image
2. Considerably darker than the actual image, as if they are being filtered or 'underexposed'
3. Affected by a screen, as it were, of black, uniformly spaced pixels (which is probably the cause of 2.)

See http://www.mosesmurray.com/gallery-attempt-1/ for an example.

How do I rectify this? Thanks,

Moses
