<p>Oh, I see what you mean. Those are widgets. You can remove them on the Widgets page.</p>
<p>Sometimes when you first setup WordPress, it automatically adds widgets to your sidebar so that you can see what they look like.</p>

<p>Are you referring to the menu links? If so, I don't recommend removing that as users (and Google) will not have a way to navigate/index your site.</p>

			<description><p>How do I get the Pages and Categories sections removed from the side.  Currently it has the pages listed then a bold title "Pages" and they are all listed again and again. I do want the pages listed in the sidebar once and in the footer.  Please advise
