Hi there,

There are 3 map zoom level options on the Customize page (appearance > customize):

1. Home Page Zoom Level - this is the zoom level for the default home page map.
2. Category Zoom Level - this is the zoom level for category pages.
3. Default Post/Page Zoom Level - this is the zoom level for page/posts, but can be overridden on individual page/post map settings.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

Thanks Chris. I'm getting there...

I set my home page to show only the category "Cities".
I created a post and a category, both named "Rothenburg".
I put the Rothenburg category URL in the Custom Map Link URL field.
Now when I click the map marker for the post "Rothenburg" I see the 2 markers in that category. However, I haven't found how to adjust the zoom. Changing the zoom level in the "Rothenburg" post doesn't do anything. What am I missing?

Thanks

Bob

Hi there,

Yes. A recent update added a custom link option for posts on the map (new option on post edit page).

This will allow you to use pins on the home page to represent categories by linking the pin to a category page instead of a post page. You can create a separate category like "category pins" and select that as the category to display on the home page. This way when visitors visit the site, they will only see category pins on the map.

In other words, you're hijacking the default post link and having the link point to a category page with more pins.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

Please excuse the novice question. One city on my home page may have 2 or more markers - hotel, restaurant, etc. When I click on one of those and it zooms to the city level, I only see the marker I clicked on. Is it possible to see all markers that are within that zoom level?
