hi Chris, thanks so much for all your help. My issues are all resolved except the color of the page. I was able to change the main background no problem and I need to go in and change the arrows and such, that will be no problem. However, I cannot get the book_bg.jpg file to look right because the .psd file I got with the download does not contain all the shading that's in the jpg file, which looks great. The crease is there, but there is some additional shading that is not in the file that I can't duplicate exactly. Is there any possibility you could email me the book_bg.jpg file with the color f4f2ed as the background, or the psd file that contains all the shading? I would greatly appreciate it. The nonprofit I'm making this for really wants it to look like an old storybook, so I need the pages to be ivory rather than white. That's my last step so I would be very appreciative if you could do that. Thanks so much!

Hi there,

The home page listings and category pages show an excerpt of the post content. The excerpt is a WordPress feature that displays a small amount of text form the post. The excerpts don't contain any of the styling or structure from the post. It's just basic text.

You can control the excerpt text from the excerpt box on the post edit screen, but styling and spacing is not supported there either. This is how WordPress has the excerpt system setup.

You might have some luck searching for a plugin that adds styling to the excerpt feature. I'm sure something like that exists somewhere.

Sorry, I already told you that I submitted a request for customization and they wrote me back that they would charge me $150 per hour and estimate that it would take between 12 and 15 hours to work on my request. Obviously, not an option. I am accustomed to customizing templates quite regularly and have never had this much difficulty, hence so many questions which I do appreciate you answering.
Most importantly at this point, and not certain why you don't understand, but by next line in the book I mean in the pages that look like a book (the post pages when they appear on the post page in a book like form) when there is a next line (enter), it does not show up. You can clearly see that on my site but for example, instead of

Director - Greg Hinojosa
Music Director - Darrin Newhardt

It appears on the book page (the page that looks like a book) as

Director - Greg Hinojosa Music Director - Darrin Newhardt

like I said, all mushed together.

I would just like to know if that can be fixed or not.
If you could get back to me today on that I would be greatly appreciative.

4. & 6. Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by "next line in the book".

7. Be sure to use the Custom CSS box for any adjustments to the CSS. If you made errors, you'll need to revert to the default style.css file as I'm not able to troubleshoot customizations to the theme. Regarding the background, you'll need to edit the #main background color as well as adjust the book binding background image in the PSD file to the color you want to use.

8. YouTube videos are not supported on the home/listing pages. Only text and featured images. Please understand this theme was designed and developed specifically for writers wanting to showcase their stories. Media other than text and a featured image wasn't intended to be used in the theme.

1. The youtube videos work fine today, not sure what happened because they repeatedly did not show up yesterday , but oh well, working now so all is good.

I'm talking specifically about the into the woods "poster" on the right side of the first page/home page (which is 960 x 1484 and not filling the page, and I did change the featured image size to 960 x 1484 in the css), but in general I would like to decrease the white space/padding all around but especially at the bottom of the pages in the book (so they can see the social icons without having to scroll down so far). Is that possible?
4 and 6. yes I suppose by Book page I mean the home/category pages. I am talking about the pages as they appear in the book on the website.
The code you gave me for centering worked to center the text but more importantly I need to be able to go to the next line in the book, otherwise everything is all mushed together. Please see

7. also- I was trying to change the color of the pages in the book to ivory and somehow deleted the mesh, can you tell me how to put that back and if possible how to make the background color ivory rather than stark white? I did try just changing some of the colors in the style sheet but messed some things up, including the mesh and the center images that makes it look like a book (I fixed the center image but not the mesh).
That is absolutely all my questions as I am almost finished with the site. The template is beautiful and they are going to love it so thank you!

2. The theme is designed to have a thumbnail, title and excerpt on the home/category pages. If you want the theme to do something else with the content, please submit a customization request here: http://themolitor.com/custom

3. Regarding having pages filled with images, do you mean you want the featured image to span the entire width of the page? If so, you just need to have an image that's wide enough. It should fill the entire width (minus the margins). If I misunderstand, please provide a link or more details for what you're trying to do.

4. By "Book page", are you referring to the home/category pages? If so, add the following to your Custom CSS box on the customize page...

.listing .post {text-align:center;}

5. You can target specific posts with the post id. For example, targeting post with id 57 would look like this...

.post-57 .readMore {display: none !important;}

6. By "Book page", are you referring to the home/category pages? If so, the WordPress editor styling doesn't apply to that section.

Hello, I have several issues that I cannot figure out and your help would be much appreciated.
When I have a page with no picture I would like the whole page in the book to be filled with text but instead it just gives me a little excerpt then says continue reading and the rest of the page is blank. How can I change that?
I would like to have some pages completely filled by a jpg. I figured out how to change the thumbnail size but still there is a maximum size with quite a bit of white showing...how can I change that? (ex second page with into the woods logo)
How can I center the text on the book page
How can I get rid of the continue reading on certain pages only, when there is no further reading?
How do I get the paragraph space alignment to work on the book page?
