Hi there,

It looks like you have a static page selected for your home page. In order to show posts, you need to use the default home page of the theme. Navigate to your readings settings and change the static home page back to the default setting.

I tried that, bus something is wrong, and the posts do no show in home...

thats my category structure:

paises
--brasil
--india

I wrote a post called brasil in order to show brazilian flag on the map... and assign it to paises category... i wrote another post called india and assigned to it the paises category... i choose on the the theme options the paises category to be the blog category.

than i wrote a post called Caxias do Sul and assign it to brasil category and another one called varanasi to india category....

when i choose brasil or india in the main menu i can see the marks as it should be....

on the home page i would like to see just brasil and india... just to put the flags on the map... and when a choose the country by clicking on the flag i want to show the cities on that country (category)..

i dont know what i am doing wrong, but brasil and india do not show on home...

Hi there,

1. You can create categories on the "categories" page in your WordPress dashboard.
2. You can customize the marker image for individual posts in the custom post options field section.
3. If you have a locations category, just make sure all your map-related posts are in that category. By default, the theme's home page displays all map posts. You don't have to specify a category for the home page.

Please keep in mind that this theme is primarily a map-based posting system. The blog feature is secondary, so it only supports a single blog category. You need to create this blog category and assign it in the theme options as the blog category. This is to make sure your map posts and your blog posts don't get combined.

Hi... i tryed to do this:

1. i need to create post category "locations" and there put all countries
2. In each country post set up custom image marker
3. Setup wordpress to show blog post category "locations" on home page
..this is home page.

but i am getting a error message saying ¨You need to add posts to display on the map.¨

I created a category named Paises and i added a post called Brasil under this category ... and other post called India under this category too... than i added a post Varanasi under category India... India is a child cateogry of Países.

On the themes options i choose Paises as the blog category...

I'm not sure to be honest. It looks like you've made edits to the template files. That might have impacted the zoom level for that page.

Using the default template files, maps that have multiple items use the main map zoom level setting and single post pages use the individual zoom level.

1. Each item that shows on the map is a post. You'll need to customize the pin image for each post on the map.

2. Since each item on the map is a post, clicking the flag (or whatever pin image you decide to use), will take you to the individual page for that item. The best way to allow users to view only specific posts is to add category links in the menu (as showcased in the demo site).
