So - the solution was to downgrade back to the previous version of Wordpress - 5.4.2. This also solved another problem - the past stories in each category weren't showing up. There was just a spinning circle instead. So, all is well.

I did send in a customization request so that I can cover the cost of changes to the theme that might allow me to upgrade to future Wordpress versions. But this may be a problem that will be solved by another version of Wordpress in the future...as I was working through the issue I saw that other folks were having problems with 5.5 as well.

Anyway, thanks for all you do! I still love The Daily Press!

Hello,

Just this week I noticed that the little magnifying glass that brings up the box where people enter search terms quit working. When I hover over the tool, the box never appears and clicking on the magnifying glass only brings up a random search.

Can you help me?
