Ok, I've double checked everything and found that problem is on my side. Your solution is working correctly.
I've set the DirectoryIndex index.php?cat=8 in the htaccess, so search doesn't work correctly because of this.

Thanks for your help however the whole idea was wrong as search doesn't work with
<input type="submit" id="searchsubmit" style:'background: url("<?php echo get_template_directory_uri(); ?>/images/mag_glass.png") center no-repeat; border: 0;'/>
nor with
<input type="submit" id="searchsubmit" style="background: url('http://vpnmaps.com/wp-content/themes/wpnavigator/images/mag_glass.png') center no-repeat; border: 0;"/>
I've replaced the code with an old one but I am still looking forward to find the solution for this.

...and change the width to 95px. Let me know if that helps.

I've updated the website.

Anyways the search function works correctly now.

there's a small problem with wpnavigator search:
everytime it gives x=0&y=0&s=something URL
I googled and found that those x and y can be removed by modifying the submit image:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/weird-search-results-url-x-amp-y-coordinates
So I replaced

<input type="image" src="<?php echo get_template_directory_uri(); ?>/images/mag_glass.png" id="searchsubmit" alt="GO!" />

with this

<input type="submit" id="searchsubmit" style:'background: url("<?php echo get_template_directory_uri(); ?>/images/mag_glass.png") center no-repeat; border: 0;'/>

but it doesn't worked correctly. Can you please give me a hand with this? I think it should probably be fixed in following releases too.
