Hi there,

If you're going to insert it that way, you'll want to use the following...

<?php get_template_part('searchform');?>

You can throw it in "index.php" above the //CALENDAR Stuff section, but please keep in mind you'll have to do additional edits to achieve proper styling, etc. using CSS.

Hello,

I just want to add search in front page, but can't figure it out where should i put this line:

<?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . '/searchform.php'); ?>

I want it to be just before the calendar. I am using regular front page. Or am I doing something completely wrong?

Yeah, between the clever calendar feature and search field... I'll stick with the calendar ;)

Thanks for the feedback and nice remarks!

Currently you can get a search field on the home page if you use a page template with a sidebar on the home page.

I'll definitely think on this though!

It would be really nice if there was an option to include search somehow on the front page. A drop down menu item? In the dotted section at the top maybe? I just think that search ought to be included on the front page of a site. Food for thought and feature request in the next update if it strikes a chord.

Overall I am in love with this theme, stikes such a great balance between simplicity and utility and usability!
