Hi there,

If you're going to insert it that way, you'll want to use the following...

<?php get_template_part('searchform');?>

You can throw it in "index.php" above the
//CALENDAR Stuff
section, but please keep in mind you'll have to do additional edits to achieve proper styling, etc. using CSS.

Hope that helps!

Chris

Hello,

I just want to add search in front page, but can't figure it out where should i put this line:

<?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . '/searchform.php'); ?>

I want it to be just before the calendar. I am using regular front page. Or am I doing something completely wrong?

Thanks!

Hello!

I was looking for this too. Please include in the next update a search field next to the menu or above.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback and nice remarks!

Currently you can get a search field on the home page if you use a page template with a sidebar on the home page.

I'll definitely think on this though!

Thanks!

Chris

It would be really nice if there was an option to include search somehow on the front page. A drop down menu item? In the dotted section at the top maybe? I just think that search ought to be included on the front page of a site. Food for thought and feature request in the next update if it strikes a chord.

Overall I am in love with this theme, stikes such a great balance between simplicity and utility and usability!
