I am too fast. Got it! For people having the same problem/need here is the way:

In the style.css change 

.eventDetails .eventInfo {width:auto; height:300px; padding:25px;}

to

.eventDetails .eventInfo {width:auto; height:300px; padding:25px;overflow:scroll;}

(its in the "event items" section)

Hi Chris,

I have a problem regarding the excerpt text in the event info sliding up if you click on the post title in the main timeline. I have sometimes a lot of text in there because I need the field for describing my exhibition projects or series of works. After updating to 1.4.0 and some customizations I lost the scrollbar on the right side for scrolling the event info. I am desperate about this... Your help is hihgly appreciated.
