Hi Chris
I think the answer to SLMarket may be to use DoubleClick for Publishers (or something similar?). I am currently rotating a couple of custom "ads" in my banner area using tags generated using DFP.

However, I cannot figure out where to post the Google tags in the footer. It was rather straightforward in Header.php, but Footer.php has me confused.

Regards
Roger

Hi there,

You just need to provide the code and Google will control the ads that display on their end. It's all done automatically for you.

Best,

Chris
I'm a bit confused about how to use adsense to rotate the banner ads. If the "Google AdSense Code - overrides custom" is used, how do I specify for top or bottom banner? I have sorted this out with widgets, but I'm unsure how to handle it with the banners.
Thank you.

Hi there,

Auto-rotating custom ads is not currently a feature. If it was something I knew off the top of my head I would gladly help, but if it requires a bit of research, testing and custom code then I have to refer you to the customization request form: http://themolitor.com/custom

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

Hi Chris, back on this rotating ad question.

I've sold a number of ads and I'd like to use my ad client's images in the upper ad space, I don't want to rotate Google ads, but specific images that I've created for my ad clients.

You can see what I'm talking about, I uploaded the first ad... http://www.slmarket.com, I have another the same size and I'd like to two to rotate / switch out the images every few seconds.

Thoughts on this?
Dave

Hi there,

With the most recent update to The Daily Press (version 1.4.0), supported for Google AdSense was added. Using Google AdSense, you can now display banner ads that auto-rotate when you refresh the page.

You can see an example of this on the demo site for the theme: http://themes.themolitor.com/dailypress

Let me know if that will work better for you.

Best,

Hi Chris,

This may be something I should submit to the 'customization' folks, but I thought I'd pose my question to you first.

Have you considered modifying the ad options to allow rotation of multiple ads?

The ease of setting up a banner ad across the top of the page in the back end of the theme options is great... just add the graphic and the URL and it's there, same with the side bar ads... both are easy and make sense, but I'd love to have the option of uploading several banner ads that could alternate every few seconds.... but instead of downloading a plug in like an 'ad rotate' have it built right into the theme.

Thoughts on that?

Thanks.

Dave
