Hi Christopher,

just for information. Thank you for your advice. The child theme was correct as instructed on the wordpress codex and used in many other projects. I compared the html code with the loaded child theme and without. There seems to be a compatibility/priority problem with the parent themes stylesheet. What solve the problem, was to copy the original stylesheet into the child themes stylesheet and dequeue the parent stylesheet in the functions.php by deleting the code. For further modifications I made a separat file style_child.css and enqueue it in the functions.php. Now the child theme works as expected.

Best,
Renato

Hi there,

It doesn't appear that you have your stylesheets properly enqueued as instructed here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

Please note that I can only troubleshoot the main theme stylesheets. Any issues related to child theme development are not included with standard support services.

Best,

Christopher

Hi there,

I requested a link to your site 1 month ago (see last response above). Can you provide that information? I'll need to review your child theme as I don't have a copy of it.

Also, please keep in mind child themes are considered customizations and may not be covered under normal support services.

Best,

Christopher

Hi Chris. If I use the original navigator theme the responsivenes works well. But if I try to use my child theme (just a standard child theme with modifications like "$oldLatitude = get_post_meta( $post->ID, 'geo_latitude', TRUE );" in the necessary files), the responsivnes is broken. It seems to be a problem with css - the menu doesn't show up, the posts are not in list view and the map is behind the sidebar background. Is there something special to do with the child theme? Thank you.
