I understand what you're saying. The best course of action would be to submit a customization request!

Thanks!!

Hi jhandler,

I do like very much like the theme and the idea behind it. However, this idea would be better served if the default orientation would add just an additional 120 pixel width and 55 height. This way the viewer could have a nice viewing experience whether or not full screen was enabled. This wouldn't ruin the theme in anyway, quite the opposite would happen. Perhaps I will request a customization.

Thank you for your time

Hi Blackhearts,

The idea behind the theme, which is clear in the demo, is that you would use the smaller video as the "teaser", allowing a user to click into the full post to view the full size video. I apologize that we can't change it to help out, but this is how the theme is built.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin,

Thank you for your response. At http://www.cluvieldor.com I posted examples showing the stock 400x225 Vimeo video post overlapping/cutoff into another post. While the small 280x170 version works, however it's quite small. I also included a stock size Youtube post of 640x390 which is much too big for the current layout.

I understand that the theme was setup to just display videos in 280x170 but that is really small. Ideally Brick+Mason would allow for both stock Vimeo and Youtube sizes, that way 1. users would not have to alter the media size in the shortcode 2. people can view the videos without having to enable full screen every-time.

I believe that a modification to allow post width of 640px would enable this functionality. This would be ungodly for people making motion portfolios.

Please post a link to your site. Another thing you can do is change the size of your Vimeo videos within the embed code. Rather than changing the website, when you past your embed code you should see a Height and Width variable within the code. Change those to match the site and you should be good to go :)

Let me know either way.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi,

I have been going over the CSS and even the php files in an attempt to widen the post colums to no avail.

I would like to use 400 width and 225 height posts since these are the same size as the small Vimeo videos like they appear on the Vimeo site, instead of the really small 280x170 videos that you currently need to post a video without overlapping posts.

Yes, I realize this is a customization. Though this in my opinion should likely be the default size, and would prevent people from having the "overlapping video" issue.

Or if anyone know how to adjust the column width and height in CSS or PHP to do this, please post the code.

Thank you
