I'd like to give each "featured" tab its own icon (that would go in front of each post's title). So instead of having the featured image of each post being repeated as a thumbnail, I'd like each tab to display a unique image (small png for example).

After reading through the forums I've successfully prevented the thumbnails, calendar icon, and dates from displaying, but am unsure how to put an outside image in there (if possible).

Hopefully this makes sense. Imagine using graphics to number the tabs 1-4.
