no, I'd like it to do with the category news and have all the posts under news not have the graphic intro,

for example if you go here: http://carriecutforth.com/category/news/ -- it gives a list of all posts under that category

but clicking each one takes you to http://carriecutforth.com/web-series-storytelling-2-0/ <--the photo opening and then text, and i'd like it just to go straight to the text

I can target specific ones, but there is a lot of them, and plan to do more, so if there is a shortcut that is great

All category pages are "post categories". Are you wanting to target specific posts? If so, you can do that like this...

body.postid-XXXX .continueOn {display: none !important;}

Replace XXXX with the post id.

ack! my mistake -- they are all posts....is there anyway to do this with post categories? otherwise i guess I'll have to remake all the posts as pages and continue on from there

Hey Chris, it doesn't seem to work. I've tried both category id "15" and the slug "news". What am I doing wrong? It did work by the way when I did the page option before.

Yes, you can target category pages by adding the following to the Custom CSS box on the Customize page (appearance > customize)...

body.category-projects .continueOn {display: none !important;}

You can change "projects" to either the category name or the category id (body.category-4).

You can target specific pages via CSS like this...

body.page-id-XXXX .continueOn {display: none !important;}

Just change XXXX to the id number for the page you want to target.

Hi Ive created a page a success page for contact form 7 to track google ad conversions. Its just a page that says thank you once the user has submitted the contact form. I dont want the continue graphic to appear on this page because there is nothing to continue on to, is it possible to hide it just on this page?
