I think the problem is that if you enter custom footer text, it's displaying ©<year> <site title>. But the site title may not be the name of the copyright holder, and so you end up with an inaccurate copyright statement (plus, it appends that text string in front of whatever's inserted in the custom footer setting).

We would really prefer that you keep the Theme information in the footer. As the price of purchase is fairly cheap, it helps promote the work that Chris does.

Could you tell me how to remove the copyright text at the footer of the homepage? I tried writing a new footer through the "theme options" + "footer" but it just adds to the existing text.
