Hi Chris,
I did try removing the cat='. $homeCategory .'&, however, it seems the whole front page is built around that query or something, and as soon as I remove it, the whole page goes down. This is why I dont like it, I dont know, but for some reason, it doesnt works... Sorry for the negativity, but I am quite frustrated, I dont usually encounter things like these at all.. I even tried writing an another query, but that wont work as well (when all synax and stuff was completely correct).

Hi there,

Please keep in mind the support conditions at the bottom of the page. Namely (1) we do not provide customization services and (2) themes are purchased with no guarantee of support.

Also, it's important to note that (1) the site you linked to is heavily customized and (2) your request doesn't involve a theme issue but rather an issue that occurs AFTER you make a customization to it -- in addition to all the other customizations you've made.

Finally, your negative comments above are a bit out of place and don't really encourage an environment of cooperation and support. Especially considering all our support services are free of charge, but not free of our time and energy. Please be respectful of that as we have no obligation to help you... especially if you're being aggressive and rude.

Regarding your question, have you tried removing
cat='. $homeCategory .'&
from the query?

If that doesn't work, you'll need to submit a customization request.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,
Are you out of your mind or something?
First of all, I HAVE to point out, your theme is the MOST poorly unstandard coded theme I have seen in a while on themeforest, I do a simple mod, be it JS or PHP and the sky falls down, also, rather than accepting your impotency that you SHOULD have given an option to display like all the posts, you just send me over a "broken" link to a customization form while I only need a simple fix? I would appreciate if someone with any technical/working knowledge of this poorly coded WordPress theme can get it fixed ASAP.

Hello!
At http://dev.theryanbeatty.com/, the post in the sidebar has to belong to a category to be there, however, I want the post to be overall latest post and not belonging to any particular category...
When I change the required in the line
$wp_query->query('cat='. $homeCategory .'&showposts='. $homeNumber .''.'&paged='.$paged);
The whole website starts breaking and when try writing another fresh query, the website goes down with an internal server error.
I need this to be fixed asap, thanks in advance!
