This thread is dealing with the WordPress University theme, not the WordPress Church theme.

I found this code instead: <?php wp_list_cats('exclude='. $church_category .''); ?>

Took it out, and it messed up my page. I put it back in, and here's what it looks like.

Could you help with this?

I am having this same problem, but unable to find this line of code. Any tips?

Open up "header.php" and remove the following: <?php wp_list_categories('orderby=slug&exclude='. $theme_cat .'&title_li='); ?>

Note: this will remove all category references in the navigation.

Cannot remove black copy in main header menu "No Categories"
