Yes I am having the same issue. For posts I have the option of turning off and on the comment box but for a page the option is already unchecked. Please help with this because there should be the option to not have someone comment on what should be a static page. Thanks!!

I have done steps 1, 2, 3. I did not see the "discussion" section at the bottom of the page. I did see "discussion" under the setting option, but did not see any option to uncheck "allow comments.".

I still have the leave a reply box showing. Not what I want. What am I missing?

I would like some assistance on this issue as well. On my Screen options, the discussion box is already checked off. I scroll down to the bottom of the page and there is no "discussion" section on the edit page to check off.

You can turn off Comments by page / post specifically. Do the following:

1) Edit the page or post
2) Up in the top-right, click Screen Options
3) Checkoff "discussion"
4) Scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll see "Discussion" section
5) Un-check the allow comments

Hit save and you should be good!

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the rely comment area off pages? (Name, Email,Website,Comment) I have a bio page and I don't want anyone to leave a comment on my bio. Anyone know?
