Hi there,

Images get attached to the post (and automatically appear in the gallery) if you upload them from the POST EDIT PAGE.

If you want to use an image in the post content, but don't want to have it show up in the gallery tab, simply use the "Media Upload" page to upload the image and not have it attached to the gallery tab.

All images from post are available in the gallery. How to remove some images from the gallery?

PS. I used some graphic elements in the text and they appear in the gallery, too. They are not needed in the gallery.
