CHANGING THE SLIDER TIME:

1| Back up your website.
2| Enter your website via CPanel or FTP.
3| Edit "custom.js" located in wp-content > themes > eventure > scripts
4| Scroll down until you see: "slideshowSpeed: 7000, //Set the speed of the slideshow cycling, in milliseconds"
5| Change "7000", which is 7 seconds, to a lower number (faster speed) or higher number (slower speed).

If Settings > Discussion doesn't turn off old comments, I would look into Wordpress.org forums for a solution. This is a default function or Wordpress, not necessarily related to the theme. There should be someone out there who has resolved this either with a code edit or a 3rd party plugin.

(I'm not just trying to turn off comments for new posts -- I've got about 60 posts up that I want the comment portion deleted on.) Is that something I can do easily?

Hey there,

1) Settings > Discussion > There you can uncheck the options
2) OR, on pages / posts, you can go down to "Discussion" and uncheck allow comments. If you don't see this, go to Screen Options (top right), check off Discussion, then scroll down and you'll see the Allow Comments checkbox.
3) Slider time - this is in the code. Are you comfortable making code edits? I can likely point you in the right direction...

What is the easiest way to remove all traces of anyone being able to comment on anything (eg. "Leave a Reply" content)? I haven't been able to find it yet, help is greatly appreciated.

also, where do I change the slider rotation time?
