Not a comprehensive solution, but I've had luck using this Duplicate Post plugin for creating the same event on different days. It involves some manual updating, but its better than nothing maybe?

I would like to ask Dichotomy and The Molitor if you have tested the suggested plugin and if you have any good suggestion on how to handle entering recurring events.

Hi there,

Since events are created via posts, recurring posts isn't a WordPress feature. You might have luck with a plugin. After a quick search, I came across this (haven't tried it): http://blog.vishalon.net/index.php/wordpress-yearly-monthly-weekly-post-repeater-plugin/
