This new solution works a treat, fits perfectly in the text box of the Zoom template, and plays back with no hic-ups.
I first saved my video in Quicktime H.264 format (I use iMovie). Then I opened the video file in Quicktime player, File, Save for web - which then gives you 3 export options, I chose the iPhone 1 Mbit/s and pressed Save. After the video has finished converting, a page will appear with the URL (I ignored this). Then look for the new video file in your downloads, examplevideo - iPhone.m4v , and upload it to your website using an ftp program (Cyberduck). Once uploaded, right click on file within your ftp program, and copy URL.
Next create a post in Wordpress, and copy and paste the following link into the post (but use your video URL instead of my example!)

<embed src="http://yourwebsite.com/examplevideo%20-%20iPhone.m4v" height="300" width="510"></embed>

Then your video plays directly from your website (handy for those videos that Youtube or Vimeo police).
Good luck, Xeph

Hmmm, after I went offline from Wordpress and used the link above, the video froze a couple of times, grrr! Basically the video needs to fully load before it plays without freezing - not very user friendly im afraid :/ Back to the drawing board.

Actually, just changed it to something even better! Upload your video using ftp to your website, copy URL, go to Appearance, then Menu in WP, in Custom links put your video URL, Add to Menu, open the new box that went into the Menu, click Open link in a new window or tab, or just leave it blank so that Video opens on its own page.
Only deal here is user has to click the Back browser to return to the webpage.

PS You will have to have Quicktime installed.

Youtube video image freezes at intervals, although the sound continues uninterrupted?
I saved my iMovie video as Quicktime H.264, size 960 x 540, 24 fps. Then I uploaded it to my site using an ftp client, (Cyberduck). Right clicked the video in my ftp to get the URL, and then pasted this into a Post on my WP site, like so,

<embed src="http://yoursite.com/videoname.mov" height="900" width="560"></embed>

It plays perfectly without any image freezing.
Only bummer is I have to scroll the post area down a bit to see the black video screen, click twice to play, and the post area is too small to show the whole video screen. But its a start until someone else comes up with something better?
