That's your idea of being clear on how to set the proper posts in the slider? "Review the theme options"? You should be more clear and explicit like you were before in this thread. Just saying... you've got 15 pages of support tickets in this one theme alone... I'm sure being clearer about how to use your theme would help reduce that and save you and users time... It would for me, and I'm not a novice. I used to write tutorials for a membership site.

Hi there,

Hmm, theme options are mentioned a couple times in the help file:

Installation: #4. Options will be accessible from “appearance” > “customize”.

Theme Options: Theme options are controlled from the theme customizer panel. Once finished installing the theme, be sure to review the options available by navigating to “Appearance” > “Customize”.

Regarding importing demo content, that isn't a theme feature, but rather that's a WordPress feature. I spend a lot of time covering theme-specific features in the help file. In trying to keep things easy to read and navigate, I don't cover general WordPress features so much. I appreciate the feedback, though. The FAQ thread seems to help users who have trouble with this feature, but I'll consider adding the import feature of WordPress to the help file as well.

Best,

Chris

Thanks! That worked. Why do you make using your themes so difficult by not mentioning this important fact in the documentation? I wasted an hour trying to figure it out: checking out these forums, installing a new WP site with your theme, importing the xml file, and that still didn't work.

Hi there,

Be sure to review the theme options on the Customize page (appearance > customize). You can select a category of posts to display in the slider, which will allow you to control which posts appear on your home page.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris
