Please keep in mind, the live preview "customizer" is a core WordPress feature. That's not something that I developed or added to the theme. If you have issues using the live preview, I can only recommend that you utilize the WordPress support forum to see if there are users who have resolved similar issues: http://wordpress.org/support

Maybe you haven't properly configured the settings yet? Have you tried reviewing the options available and making selections?

Be sure you have created categories and assigned posts to those categories so that you can make selections.
