The answer is to put the correct slugs in the "church themes options" area. Now if I could get the News and Events and Pastor's Blog off the top nav bar.

I installed everything. Got the categories up ok, But the homepage shows the news and events twice. So I thought maybe this is happening because there isn't any content yet, so I made a post for pastors blog and now it shows pastors blog twice instead of news and events. I don't know what the issue is.
