hi,

I changed the permalink settings in wordpress and now the news hyperlinks point to the posts,but the images in slider do not point to the posts. And one more thing,now that the news posts are visible, I have a problem with them. How can i have the posts in 2 column template like in a page?

Looking at your source code, I see some errors related to the Custom Link option. Please review each of your posts in the slider and make sure the Custom Link field doesn't have an improper elements in there.

Regarding the news section, the links appear to be pointing to http://syr100blackmen.x10.mx/images/

That isn't something the theme would be doing, so I'm not sure why that's the case. Are you using any plugins that override links like that?

1. Can you provide a link to your site? I'll check it out.

2. Regarding the excerpt text, you can control that from the post edit screen using the excerpt text box (if you don't see it, click "screen options" and check the excerpt option there). Just enter the text you want to display in that space.

If you want to dynamically change the number of words that appear for ALL posts, open functions.php and locate the following on lines 29-34...

///////////////////////
//EXCERPT STUFF
///////////////////////
function new_excerpt_length($length) {
	return 15;
}

Just change 15 to the number of words you want to display for ALL posts.

I have created the news section in the homepage as shown in the demo but when I click on the hyperlink of the post, it does not take me to that post. And one more thing, how do I increase or decrease the number of sentences in each box of the homepage news section?
