Okay - in case anyone else had this problem, I found that it was not necessarily the category NAME for the blogs, but the SLUG of the category...I guess it depends on how you have your permalinks set.

Hi Again - yes, I made sure I started basic and built up (just one category with a very general term for the category). I also deactivated the 3 plugins I installed. Do you think it has anything to do with the slug and permalinks?

Update: I have now reinstalled everything, and the same thing happens. The only way I can display blogs on the front page is to set the number I want, and leave all category headings blank. Then the latest blogs show up...I don't know why the categories are acting up.

Thank you for any help you can offer, I really want to use the category headings.

Thanks!

If nothing is entered for the "Home Posts", nothing should show up. The fact that you're seeing blog content sounds fishy...

Be sure that you're entering the names of the categories correctly. The field is case sensitive and doesn't like apostrophes and other accents in the words.

Hi Molitor,
I purchased the theme, followed instructions and all was well... but something strange is happening now. At first, the Home Posts were fine (using the demo data provided). Once I tried to add my own content it became problematic.

If all of the "home posts fields" are empty in option tree, the latest blogs will display on the home page up to the number selected. But if I try to add my own categories, all of the blogs down there disappear. It will let me tab through the links (they will highlight) but do not display the latest blogs for that category.

I have watched the video you provided, and I am confident that I am assigning these categories correctly. Any ideas?

Thank you!
