The way I understand it, the only posts that show up in the featured scroll are those that are marked with the featured category. Correct?

I set up a test site to get bugs worked out before full implementation and for each post I add, it automatically adds the post to the featured scroll regardless of which category is selected. That doesn't seem right. Any assistance?
