I noticed that yes, that's why I found it weird that it would render differently, since it is essentially using the same code.
I tried disabling plugins to see if any of them cause the problem, but I kept getting the same result.

the search result pages uses the exact same code that generates the archive pages(category, tags, dates etc..), it actually pulls it from the template so it should appear the exact same. Can you post a link to your site? Also do you have any plugins installed?

I'm using The Daily Press theme and noticed that the excerpts don't appear correctly when displaying search results, even though the same posts' excerpts appear correctly in the archives, and when viewed by category, and on the home page sliders. Is there a way I can correct this?
