You're on the right way.
PrettyPhoto takes the title-tag as description under the Picture.
Unfortunataly it is white, so you have to set a darker color.

Cheers moesioli, Ive already done this.
I also changed the code in functions.php like in the other post but it only brings up the title on hover over not at the bottom of the lightbox.

Any idea how to get the photos title under the prettyphoto lightbox?

I have been through the official prettyphoto website and I cant work it out, please help....
