Chris, I wanted to tell you I figured it all out. (Yes it took me this long to do it!). It was my site. I got everything cleaned up and the theme is working just fine. Thank you so much for spending time helping me figure this out. Your change in scripts test above was a big part of the key for me figuring out the issue. Now blue skies and smooth sailing for a while!

Thanks for all of your help Chris. Based on your "test" question, I have some ideas of what I need to look into. You are very likely to be right when you say it is my setup. You've been a big help. I'll post _when_ I get this figured out.

Thanks!

This is very odd.

I'm running 3.6 on this test site without any issues: http://test.themolitor.com/bm/

This is what makes me think the issues are unique to your setup. I'll have to mark this as pending review as I'm not sure what the problem is.

It did! That made everything tile perfectly like it did before. The infinite scroll no longer is in effect. I have a "Next->" and "<-Back" navigation to move between screens. The page now loads very quickly; it was slow before. It had no effect on PrettyPhoto.

In all of my huntin' and peckin' around the internet, I found one thing that caught my eye given the particular things that stopped working with the WP ugrade. This may be on your radar and may not apply but I though I would mention it. This is the list for troubleshooting 3.6. From: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-36-master-list

KNOWN ISSUES

jQuery

Plugins and themes which use their own jQuery without properly compensating for WP's will break.

Hi there,

Try this... open scripts.js and remove the following near the very bottom of the page...

//OPACITY ON HOVER
jQuery(".postImg img,.thumbLink img").live({
	mouseenter:function(){
       		jQuery(this).stop().animate({opacity:".8"},200);
       	},mouseleave:function(){

I just noticed that since I turned off a plugin for permalinks, my home page navigation is completely off. To get to my home page you must go to http://www.stacylgardnerphotography.com and not click Home in the Menu. The Galleries and Blog menu items still work.

I had put this aside but found time to play with this tonight. I have turned off everything I can find to turn off...plugins, widgets, etc. I have played around with this but just can't find out anything that is causing this issue. Could you point me to how/where you are seeing plugin code when you look at my website. At least that may help me figure out which plugin it might be. I've looked at the page source code on the blog page but am not identifying plugin markup.

I don't know if it makes any difference, I have my WP installed in http://www.consciouscricket.com\blog and have my site address as http://www.stacylgardnerphotography.com. When I was setting this up, I was a little lost so I took my WP files and copied them to my stacylgardnerphotography\blog sub-directory. There seems to be a dependence on that directory because I can't rename it. I know this is more than the support for this theme but I just need a direction that I can investigate because I'm at a loss. Things were working reasonably well with the last WP version. I have a site backup but I hate not to fix this. Thanks again for any direction you could give.

Hi there,

It mostly looks like plugin markup, which I still see there. Also, when deactivating plugins, clear out your widget panel as well.

Let me know when you have that taken care of and I'll check it out.

Best,

Oh poo, that didn't work either. I know that whatever is going on on my site exceeds the support for the theme. I thank you for looking into it for me. Could you point me to the "strange markup" so that I can dig my teeth into it and find out what is going on?

Once again, thanks for your help!

Hi there,

Looking at your source code, I see some strange markup. Do you have additional plugins installed? If so, deactivate those and let me know if the issues continue.

I reverted to the default 1.2.1 version and still have the same issues. Just a note, only the first two blogs (08.10.13 and 07.27.13) have multiple photos in them. Thanks!

Hi there,

I can confirm there are no Prettyphoto or infinite scroll issues with 3.6. Looking at your site, I see you've made edits to the template files.

I'll have to ask that you revert to a default setup of the latest version of the theme in order for me to troubleshoot this. Unfortunately I don't have the bandwidth to troubleshoot themes that have been customized or altered (mainly because I don't know the extent to which they have been changed).

Let me know if the issue persists with the default theme files and I'll be happy to look into this with you.

Best,

Chris

Ignore the last part about me not upgrading to 1.2.1. I found a small mistake and now have that upgrade working.

One thing I did notice is if there are many pictures in a blog post, it loads all the images but it will not load all of the blogs on the main blog page. I issue of how the "panes" line up is the same for the posts and the main blog page.

I just upgraded to WordPress 3.6 and lost a few features of the B+M theme.

First, I lost the "slideshow" effect in PrettyPhoto. When I click on one of the images in a blog, the image is loaded but there are no navigation bars (or close button) to move to the next images in the post. The only way I get back to the post is using the browsers back navigation button.

Second, I lost some of the behavior of the infinite scrolling. My blog page (and other pages) now only load the original 8 "panes" which is the number I have set in my defaults. I know this was a problem at some point because of the browser window size but I could not get it to load more when I changed the size of the window. The loading circle keeps on churning too. Finally, the image "panes" don't line up like they used to. In the past, the size of each pane seemed to be independent and the theme fit these "panes" together nicely based on their visual size. Now there seems to be a default space (image + padding + etc) than now constitutes a unit and the theme fits together these larger units resulting in large areas of white space.

Some details about my site: Currently I am using 1.1.3 for my theme. I did download 1.2.1 and installed that with no changes in the above behavior. I had to switch back to 1.1.3 because my css customization was completely lost when I edited my dark themed css file. Note: I added the exact same block of code that I used in 1.1.3. The best place to see the issues is on my blog page: http://www.stacylgardnerphotography.com/blog/ . There are hundreds of blog entries and only 8 will ultimately load.
