Definitely helps - thanks!

(minor but it often doesn't give me the option for large when I load images that need to be downsized.)

Hi there,

You can control the different "insert sizes" for images from the "media settings" page (under "general settings"). If you don't want to crop portrait images, it's recommended that you enter the ideal width and leave the height at something large like 9999.

Hope that helps!

Chris

Is there a way to preserve proportions of images inserted into posts? Many of my images are loading into posts with an adjusted aspect ratio, so they appear squeezed vertically. The adjustments seem to be based on a percentage of previously updated format - is it possible to simply define the max pixel width and preserve ratio?
