Hi there,

The pre tag keeps line breaks and spaces as it is in your original text. In other words, if you write text and never hit return/enter, then the pre tag will keep everything on a single line.

In your example, try hitting return/enter after "Planet Conqueror" to see if a line break occurs.

Good evening,

I'm having trouble getting PRE tags to render properly, in that it refuses to insert an automatic line break.
Best (and only example) is here:

The last PRE line on that page is supposed to read "[right here and really long for trial. Hi Chris!. Time to get this line far too long and see at what point the line breaks. Please ignore most of this as it's not particularly relevant, nor is it part of the original story.]" (see what I did there?)
It does not (despite its length) render into two (or more) lines.
Are you able to give some guidance on this?
