Hi there,

This really isn't a theme-related issue. Loading times (especially in the WordPress dashboard) don't have anything to do with the theme.

As you mentioned, everything worked fine until the environment (i.e. hosting, code, etc) changed. The only way to troubleshoot this is to explore those changes, which I'm unable to do.

Again, I'm sorry I can't be more help here. The only way I can really troubleshoot this is if you're running a default version of the theme that has be freshly installed.

Thanks!

Chris

(in addition) -

i tried changing which categories are assigned to the post, as a first quick edit, and -- my posts are taking an infinite amount of time to update. my web connection is working very quickly on all other web issues; the home page is launched appropriately, and my posts still appear in their respective links. but when I'm in my dashboard, updating/editing posts, when i click the update button, the wheel spins for an infinite amount of time. (infinite meant literally -- it won't update.)

this could be related?

Thanks for looking into this --

I understand that it's not your responsibility to troubleshoot hosting issues. But, I tried to make it clear in my posting that while my first instinct was to call the hosting company - which I did - after 20-30 minutes of kind tech help, they told me they could find no hosting related issue with the problem, and that this was in fact a theme issue.

Does that make sense? It could be entirely a coincidence that this issue took place after flipping the hosting, and it does indeed make more sense to me that the issue would be with the theme. My hosting tech support suggested re-uploading the entire theme, but that would undue the unique code edits I've made to the site.

Also, I'm not sure how changing the categories would fix things. I can try it - but all last summer when I used the site, I flipped categories back and forth and never had an issue with a post showing up.

Hi there,

Unfortunately this isn't a theme-related issue either. I can only suggest that you review your categories. Maybe delete your categories and create new ones and assign posts to the new categories.

Sorry I can't be more help here, but issues related to switching hosting sites isn't something I can troubleshoot.

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

I use Eventure to run a summer calendar -- I used it all last year and it worked great.

Over the winter, I switched hosting sites. When I did this, I had some problems with broken links that seemed to be fixed by just refreshing some settings. But, since I've moved over, I can't get my new posts to post up to the main calendar page. The posts appear to be live (they can be previewed at their respective links) but don't end up posting as entries to the calendar/front page. That remains blank.

I spoke with tech support at my hosting site for 20-30 minutes, they combed what they could see and didn't feel this was a hosting issue --

Any thoughts?
