Yes, open up "single.php" and remove the following on lines 12-18...

Hi Chris -

I don't use the comments facility of Wordpress on my website and wondered if there was a way to hide this information that appears below the post title on every page. If you look at my website at http://www.acambridgediary.co.uk and click on any post you can see this text (and little icons) to the left under the post title - it shows the post category, date, author etc:
