open up your index.php and switch 'the_excerpt(); ' to 'the_content();' on line 26, then itll display the full posts with the formating you place, to make it a shorter post you can use WordPress more tag

I would like to include for purpose of legibility some formatting (line breaks, hyperlinked text) in the post previews that appear on the front page.

For instance, I would the post "The Phone Banks are Calling You" on the home page: annaeshoo4congress.com
to appear as it does, complete with line breaks and hyperlinks, in the full post of that item: http://annaeshoo4congress.com/2012/the-phone-banks-are-calling-you/

How can I make this happen?

Also, how can I change the length of post previews before the elipses (...)?
