good news! Wordpress now supports background images for Category-based pages. go to your Categories list, click on Edit Category and at the bottom of the page is an option to paste in a background image URL.

Hi there,

Standard pages (pages not making use of a page template option) and category pages do not make use of a custom background feature.

This is largely due to WordPress not natively supporting featured images for categories.

Hi there,

Currently, on my site build, I have:
set a 'header' image
built a homepage and assinged the videos+reviews template
added a few posts and made a category page

I want the homepage to show a different background image to the category pages.
Currently they both seem to pull the 'header' image form the theme.
Assigning a 'feature' image to the homepage page (which is assigned to the homepage) doesn't change it.

What can I do?
