you'll need to use pseudo selector in the css

also note that it may not work in all browsers

I could not solve with css so in instance where css did not apply I added a span line in the HTML

<span style="font-size: 330%;">N</span>ew York

Perhaps this will help others that may run into this.

The 'First Letter Mod' does not show up on every post. Sometimes the stylesheet works and other times no. I can not find the inconsistency. Using 'copy from word'. Can you identify what I am doing wrong? http://www.thecatharitreasure.com
