Try adding this to your Custom CSS box on the Customize page...

.aligncenter {
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto;
}

The Image should be centered, but is aligned to the left.
Seems like I'm missing something. Maybe a Wrapper? The entryContainer?

i am using The Daily Press and none of my images in Posts will center. In the Editor it appears centered, but on the published page it will allign left.

Got a nifty CSS Snippet for that?

My images wont center in my posts. A week ago I would just have to resize the pic by the percentage slider and it would center , that layout option is now gone and I cant center the images.
is there something I need to do differently?

I was wrong sorry, the fix you gave did fix the issue with images not centering if they had a caption but now it's made images without captions not center in posts. I set it as center placement looks correct publish the post then go to view the page and image is aligned left can see what I mean here: http://207rewind.com/husson-to-take-on-amherst-in-ncaa-tournament/

You're right, the caption is preventing the centering from going into effect. Try adding the following in your custom CSS section of the theme options panel...

div.wp-caption.aligncenter {display:block; margin: 0 auto 20px;}

That should do the trick.

After playing with it a bit it appears that photos will center in posts if they don't have a caption if they have a caption for what ever reason I can not get a picture to be placed center at the top of the post. Also if the image is placed at the top of a post with a caption it does not have any padding below the caption between the text and caption for image anyway to correct?

Can see what I mean here http://207rewind.com/brewer-medical-marijuana-clinic-now-open/ I posted the image in my post chose center alignment and it still shows up aligned to the left in the post

Same problem here, also Text underneath the picture does not center but will allign left.

I keep trying to center a picture when I insert it in to a post but once I publish it, the image just aligns left any way to fix this? Also is there anyway to insert photo galleries in this theme on posts and have the gallery align right or left and have text go around it?
