Tried to optimize the website through google developer suggestions, smushed the pictures, move the server and you know what was the solution? While watching the website load with firebug I realized that it was stuck when loading the twitter api and the google fonts one. Erased both, now flies in China. God if I had known before how many meetings would've gone faster, I didn't like having to load the website in the iPad beforehand to show to clients.

Anyway, thanks for the help, I'm really happy with the theme, working great, getting relevant traffic, pictures looking good :)

Hey there,

Yes, you're right - site flies here :) Have your hosting company look into a CDN (Content Delivery Network). You'll experience slow load times across countries without a good CDN... it's just a known issue. It even happens across the United States if your hosting isn't great and you don't utilize a CDN.

There are some relatively cheap options out there that I'm sure are specifically setup for this reason. There's nothing in the theme we can do to adjust this for you unfortunately.

Good luck!!
Justin

Hi,

I've had the experience of setting up websites for a couple of friends in China as well as mine. Whereas theirs go "ok" (it's never fast in China anyway) mine loads excruciatingly slow. We have the same hosting company and everything but I don't know why, it seems that whatever is loading in the beginning of the theme (where the wheel spin) is making it slow.

I don't have this problem when I'm accessing from Europe or, connected through vpn (America) but I just wanted to know if there is an option to make this run faster in China (which is where my main client source comes from).

My website es http://www.jmiqueleiz.com but I guess that if you are not in China it will go pretty fast :). Thanks for your time ;)
