Hi there,

As long as the width has a minimum of 590px you should be fine. In terms of file size, the more optimized you can make it the better as the more images you have will definitely impact the loading times (especially if the images aren't optimized for web).

You can optimize images using various online tools:

Hope that helps!

Best,

Hi Chris

I have been given several different advice about photo sizes and thought I was on the right track, but not sure now. I have a number of photographs in each of my posts varying but say approximately 8-10 to show the different stages of cooking/preparation. I also have 12 posts displayed on the homepage. Currently the pixel sizes I am adjusting to are 640x360 and 590x393 and the file sizes vary from 50-130KB. I have just been adjusting the pixel size in Paint.

Is there a pixel size recommended and also a file size recommended for optimal loading performance? As the images increase in number will this effect the overall loading of the site or any other effects?

Thanks in advance
Janet
