Chris,

Well, it appears that in my attempt to finally resolve the issues concerning both of my Molitor themes the answers I provided got crossed in the forums. The answer below was intended in your response to your question regarding who provided me hosting for the HUD theme which I will post again in the HUD forum.

I also outline a complete response to your questions, which I see never appeared on either forum. Regardless, I managed to make it work and it looks quite beautiful, as do all of your themes:

Justin,

Yes I have worked all day on the Navigator theme and managed to get it working by hand processing each image repeatedly.

Regarding the HUD theme. I have left several requests for assistance on the HUD section of the forum. As far your comments regarding removing the 3rd party plugins, there are none to remove.

Hi there,

I think the issue lies in you thinking both themes have the same issue. The fact is, one is related to TimThumb and the other is unknown. The TimThumb related issue involves theme "A" and the unknown issue involves theme "B". Your posting your correspondence about the issues with theme "A" in the forum for theme "B", which is unrelated. I'm trying to help you address the issues with theme "B" as we are currently in the forums for theme "B".

Regarding my last response, that isn't all I have to say. I asked you some very specific questions in order to troubleshoot this issue, but you proceed to ignore my questions as well as my noting that TimThumb is unrelated to this particular issue you're having with theme "B".

Hope that clarifies things for you. You're welcome to request a refund, but unfortunately those are only granted for legitimate issues.

Chris

Hey Phillip,

When I view your link above for Navigator the site appears to be working correctly. We have literally hundreds of people using these themes with no issues. That's the reason why we can be sure there is an issue with a 3rd party plugin or hosting setup. If you install the theme as intended it will work as advertised - which we've displayed many times with hundreds of satisfied customers.

If you need to, open a thread in the Hud forum and shoot me a message. We can walk through the issues there once you remove the 3rd party plugins.

Thanks,
Justin

Chris,

That's all you have to say? No effort to contribute a solution?

You asked for the name of the hosting provider - I gave you that answer, so I assume that much must be relevant.

I appreciate your being right, what I would appreciate even more is if the theme functioned properly. But if your position continues to be to defend the integrity of your theme instead of show concern for the problem I'm not sure there is any reason for my asking for support.

Frankly I am at a loss of how to communicate with you - I have never had a provider treat me with such contempt and disregard. I offered to step away and ask for a refund. Yet you answer everything in a defensive, antagonistic manner. You have written paragraph after paragraph about your quality product and have yet to offer a single solution other than the "Regenerate Thumbnails" plugin after a week of my begging for some sort of feedback. I have used the plugin you suggested, I have deleted the pictures and use the plugin again and still the images blow up:

http://songofshambhala.com/maps/

But you don't need to concern yourself anymore, your product is flawless and nothing else matters.

I wish you the best and will be requesting a refund for the HUD theme via Envado.

Siteground. Here are their comments if you would like to see what they did to investigate the issue:

I have set the "cache" and "scripts" folder permissions to 777 as per above instructions.

Please check it again on on your end and tell us the results.

The GD library is included in our PHP installations. You can check the server's PHP settings at:

http://theawakeningmusic.com/i.php

I have also checked the path to your images and noticed that it is set incorrectly. For example your website tries to load the image from /new/library/files/2012/05/angels-in-pink.jpg folder and returns error: file not found.

I have searched manually for that image and noticed that the correct path is:

/new/wp-content/blogs.dir/7/files/2012/05/angels-in-pink.jpg

As you can see the image is loading correctly:

http://theawakeningmusic.com/new/wp-content/blogs.dir/7/files/2012/05/angels-in-pink.jpg

You should check the configuration of your template/script and make sure that the path to your images folder is:

/new/wp-content/blogs.dir/7/files/2012/05/

am afraid that I am not familiar with the plugin you are using and I do not know how to change the default path to the images. However, I found a workaround to fix the problem. I have linked incorrect folder new/library/files/2012/05/ to the correct one at /new/wp-content/blogs.dir/7/files/2012/05/ and now your images are loading as expected.

Please clear your browser's cache and check the results on your end.

2012-05-27 05:41pm by windofep -	hmmm, thanks for doing that, but for me, it doesn't look much better, now I don't have a site:

http://theawakeningmusic.com/new/library/

Are the images directories established when the subsites are set up? Someone on your staff did that for me and it has not been a problem before.

Ummm, not sure what to do now.
2012-05-27 05:44pm by windofep -	You see?
Here I have a portfolio site where the picture show just fine:

http://theawakeningmusic.com/new/artgal/

An d you can see the images are stored in that sites files:

http://theawakeningmusic.com/new/artgal/files/2012/05/6212524945_6777252693_b.jpg
2012-05-27 05:58pm by Dimitar.T -	I have restored the previous state and now the site at http://theawakeningmusic.com/new/library/ is working fine.

It seems that the problem is with the code used in the plugin that you are using. Please contact the plugin developers and ask them to provide you with the instructions on how to fix the path to the images.

Hi there,

Have you made any edits to the theme? I have never seen images appear like that in the gallery. If you have made edits, please undo them and/or make sure you don't have any additional plugins that might be causing the problem.

If you did make changes, you may need to run the "Regenerate Thumbnails" plugin to fix the images after you revert back to default settings of the theme.

For Navigator, TimThumb is not used. If you have issues with another theme and a separate issue, please create a separate thread in the proper forum for that theme. We will only address Navigator issues in this thread.

If you are unable to make time to help with the issues I have had for more than a week Maybe it's time to consider getting a reimbursement for the HUD template and see if we can just focus on the image resizing on the Navigator theme. I was so pumped about the Molitor themes but with my having had the Navigator theme for a week without being able to getting the simplest functions working and now this with the HUD theme- I should probably be looking for a more reliable, less exotic solution. I would like to get the Navigator theme working as I have not found anything with which to replace it but might be better off stepping away from the HUD theme.

I just recieved this analysis from the developer of the library shelf plugin that is not working in the HUD theme:

In relation to the images not loading, I do not know if the problem is with Timthumb. It may be because, as have many images, is making an excessive load to open all.
Or it could be the "preload" script that opens the images. Only the author of the theme can have accurate information because he knows the structure.

On the Bookshelf plugin running on the main site and no work on site library, the explanation I see is the version of jQuery.
The Theme of the main site (squaregrid) uses jQuery version 1.7 (It is compatible. Bookshelf Plugin needs 1.4 or greater). The Theme Library (wphud) uses version 1.3 (is not compatible)

You can try the following. Within the functions.php file, which is inside the folder (wp-content/themes/wphud/functions.php), paste the command block below and save.
This command will enter a more current version of jQuery plugin.

// ----------
function custom_jquery() {
if (!is_admin()) {
wp_deregister_script( 'jquery' );

//load the Google API
wp_register_script( 'jquery', 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7/jquery.min.js');

wp_enqueue_script( 'jquery' );
}
}
add_action('wp_enqueue_scripts', 'custom_jquery');
// ----------

Well, unfortunately, I have switched from the test/setup url to the primary/permanent url songofshambhala.com/map

and although I have content setup in the backend it is not showing in the frontent - I don't know why.

But there is something uniquely different about the Molitor themes that are giving me trouble. They are beautiful and amazing and brilliantly conceived and so far I have been unable to use them. In the case of the Navigator theme the images won't resize - which is odd because all the other Wordpress themes resize pictures without a hitch. And I just bought the HUD theme and the images don't show up at all. (http://songofshambhala.com/library/category/csos-councils-video-library/) Since your forum says image issues are almost always an issue with the server I got with my hosting company and they made sure everything met your specifications. but alas still no pictures. They are quite vexed by the problem - here are some of the comments:

The images for the library site are retrieved via a TimThumb script. The script seems to be part of your template. Here is the exact link used for one of the images:

http://songofshambhala.com/library/wp-content/themes/wphud/scripts/timthumb.php?src=http://songofshambhala.com/library/files/2012/05/portraitafricaboychildface-1a773ccc4073ceb5c66655f37c03f972_h.jpg&w=780&h=400&zc=1

The image is linked correct and it can be reached via the respective url address:

http://songofshambhala.com/library/files/2012/05/portraitafricaboychildface-1a773ccc4073ceb5c66655f37c03f972_h.jpg&w=780&h=400&zc=1

but the image is not loaded via the TimThumb script. To be honest with you I am puzzled with this issue. If the TimThumb is used for another template of yours it works. May I suggest to try another template, or simply re-add the images.

AND
I have tried to debug the dynamic page of your WordPress sites and the only errors which occurs are for the problem with the TimThumb.

Here is another example:

http://songofshambhala.com/wisewords/wp-content/themes/squaregrid/includes/timthumb.php?src=http://songofshambhala.com/wisewords/wp-content/themes/squaregrid/images/noimage.png&w=316&h=156

Here is the image:

http://songofshambhala.com/wisewords/wp-content/themes/squaregrid/images/noimage.png

The problem appears to caused by the internal WordPress SEF and the fact that the both url addresses ( source and timthumb one are loaded via rewrite rules ).

I also have a problem with the HUD template creating some sort of conflict with another program that I use on other sites without any problems as you can see here I can the book shelves but they are inoperable:

http://songofshambhala.com/library/2012/05/27/sources/

I am hoping the problems are interrelated and that you already know the solution.

According to your instructions I should be able to load photos and they will automatically resize etc. But, regretfully, some show up full size. I can't figure out if it is because they are too big, so I make them smaller - and still several will appear too large. Is there a size limit, are particular steps that cannot be missed - what is the secret?
