The features available in version 2.2.0 don't have any impact on the navigation menu.

The way you use the custom pin link is up to you, but some users will likely use it to display category only pins on the home page. For example, they might create a new category like "Category Pins" and select that category for the home page map.

ok changed the permalink setting . it works..
to use the new feature offered by the update, do i need to change the all structure of my menu ?
as i have West/Country_in_West/Hotels ...is there any way the New Pin_Category could be inserted in order to display on Pin per country ?

Sounds like you need to update/replace your menu links.

Also, I recommend using "Month and Name" on your permalink settings page.

i was adding from the library. that's wwhy :)

one last for the road :) : i removed all the static pages linked to my categories
when i select in the menu the category ouest/Senegal it opens "/?page_id=88" ==> not found
but for another ouest/Mali it opens : "/category/ouest/ml/"

Hi there,

For images to appear in the gallery section, they need to be uploaded to the post you want them to display on. In other words, you need to click "add media" on the post edit screen and upload the images from there. After they upload, that's it. You don't need to insert them into the content of the post.

If images are uploaded, but don't appear in the gallery section, that means you probably uploaded them from the media page (not the post edit page) or imported them.

i've seen that it's in the theme preference.

in your previous answer regarding gallery section added , when i load some media in a post it doesn't automatically create the section but adds it in the details post.
am i doing something wrong or what do you mean by load the picture but not adding it in the post ?

is it possible set the zoom on the category page that shows up ?
when i select for exemple Senegal Country, it shows me the global Map with only the post of the selected category (exactly what i wanted), is there any way to change the zoom on the category page ?

Hi there,

It appears you created an actual static page. For categories, you don't need to create a page. WordPress automatically generates pages for categories you create. You just need to link to the category in your menu.

for the 1. i removed pics in the post and i see now that i still have my gallery with the pictures.. greaattt...

for 2&3 : can you please have a look on kapfrik.com (french menu but but same structure)..
for the moment i have created 2 posts under subcategory "Ouest/Senegal/Patrimoine" : the 2 red pins
i have created "one Page " with "Senegal" lat&long : in order to show a map.
i have also created a page name "Patrimoine" which is a Subcategory ( Ouest/Senegal/patrimoine)

- when i try to go to page Senegal i see only on pin (the one i created with the page)
- when i go to page "Patrimoine" i don't see the map with the 2 posts i created..

what i'm doing wrong ?

Hi there,

1. The theme automatically detects if images are uploaded to a post and creates the gallery section for you. You don't need to insert the images into the post content area after they are uploaded.

2&3. Adding category links to your main menu (from the menus page) will link users to a map of just that particular category.

after few days trying to be familiar with your theme, some new questions came out again :

- where should i add pictures in my post in order to have the picture only appearing in the Galery Section like in the demo (for me it appears in Galery + in Details Section)

for my menu i used categories and sub Categories like this :

West_Africa // Country_name // Hotels <-- ( for all posts related to hotels in the Country_Name Category )
West_Africa // Country_name // Restaurants <--(for all post related to restaurants)

1 - how can i easily setup a page with : the country_name Map with all the posts related to that country (pin marker)
2 - how can i easily setup a page with : the country_name Map with only the post related to Hotels sub_category (pin marker )
