I figured this one out. In page.php and fullpage.php I removed the following line:

<h2 class="entrytitle"><?php the_title(); ?></h2>

I tried to comment it out but had to completely remove it to get rid of the title.

How do I prevent the page title from showing on the pages? For example, the page I have assigned to Home is titled "Home" and shows the word Home on the page. So far I can't find a blog post on this and haven't been able to identify the code. Thanks.
